Experience the magic of the Gibson Brothers, the award-winning bluegrass duo that has captivated audiences for decades. Handpicked by Ricky Skaggs at the Ryman two decades ago, their exceptional talent has since led to collaborations with Grammy-winning producer Dan Auerbach and the release of their acclaimed 14th album “Mockingbird.” Known for their outstanding picking, singing, and songwriting, the Gibson Brothers have won nearly every bluegrass award and recorded on premier Americana labels like Sugar Hill and Rounder. With songs covered by legends like Del McCoury and their latest album, “Darkest Hour,” produced by Jerry Douglas, the Gibson Brothers are poised to become household names. Don’t miss this incredible performance!
ABOUT THE ARTIST
There’s a reason why Ricky Skaggs pulled Eric and Leigh Gibson (a/k/a The Gibson Brothers) off the stage at the Ryman two decades ago and offered to produce their debut record. The same thing that led David Ferguson and Grammy Award winning producer and Black Keys front man Dan Auerbach to co-write and produce their 14th album “Mockingbird” (2018).
The Gibson Brothers are the real deal. They can pick. They can sing. And they can write a damn good country song. They’ve won about every bluegrass award you can name and released albums on almost every premier Americana label you can think of including Sugar Hill and Rounder, and, if that’s not enough, their songs have been recorded by bluegrass legends no less than Del McCourx. It’s a resume almost anybody in country music would be proud to have. But despite all of this, the Gibson Brothers are not yet household names. Their latest album, “Darkest Hour,” produced by dobro master Jerry Douglas might just change that.
