Self-Care Movement Techniques for Pain Management
EVERY FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH STARTING IN DECEMBER TILL THE END OF THE SEASON | 9:00 - 10:00AM
Houghton Room | $30/Class
Instructor: Caleb Swartzendruber
About the Class
Join our hour-long class to learn the foundational principles of myofascial trigger point release using tools such as foam rollers and fitness balls. Myofascial release involves applying gentle, sustained pressure into the connective tissue to alleviate pain and restore motion. In addition, we will introduce core exercises designed to enhance pelvic floor stability and overall trunk endurance. We will also incorporate active stretching techniques to address common immobility and joint dysfunction areas.
This class aims to equip you with effective, holistic pain management techniques that can be practiced at home. It improves core strength, stability, and overall physical well-being. Foam rollers and fitness balls will be provided. Please bring your own yoga mat.

“Movement is medicine. This simple statement encompasses the main essence of what we promote in our practice. Ultimately, we want to become more aware of what our bodies are trying to tell us and learn the language of the body. Through targeted myofascial release, active isolated stretching, specified core exercises and breath work, my aim is to help you on your fitness journey!” – Caleb
