I’m very proud to present the 2018/19 season of programs at the Boca Grande Community Center. You won’t find any war symposiums this year; instead we are presenting a 2-day Symposium on China that you won’t want to miss.
And if you do miss a program, we have launched a Video On Demand portal (VOD) that gives you permanent access through the internet to programs that have been previously recorded live here at the Community Center. Videos are $15 each and content is uploaded 14 days after the date of the live recording.
For those of you that need technology help, our own multimedia specialist Kyle Rich will offer free 15-minute diagnostics by appointment in our office on Tuesdays. You must schedule an appointment, and if your problem requires more work that a 15-minute meeting, Kyle may be able to advise you about where to get help.
We are also going to offer Game Night at the Center. Every Tuesday night from 7:00pm to 8:30pm you can gather with other community members to play cards, board games, or even video games. This is also an opportunity to volunteer and get involved by acting as host and making sure everyone meets one another and gets involved. Let us know if you are interested. See page xx for more information on both of these new activities.
Last but surely not least – I’m pretty excited about presenting A Conversation with Judy Collins. Actually – I’m star struck! Thank you to Pia Lindstrom for inviting your good friend Judy to come to Boca Grande, and for hosting the sponsor party following her presentation.
